Like a Candle Breaking Wind
For those of you wondering, John Allison survived last night’s earthquake with nary a scratch or a wet bed. My first thought on hearing any kind of tragic British news is, “they deserve it for a legacy of Colonialism,” followed by, “I hope Johnny is OK.”
Rich, it woke me with the shaking of the bed! It was scary! I think I twisted my neck a little bit in fear! But nothing seems to have fallen over. Even my Ghost World Enid, the most unstable item in the house, is still upright.
Britain doesn’t do earthquakes like it does floods or weird suburban tornadoes.
