Howdy,

JC!, hope you don't mind me posting this here before e-mailing you first. Here's the first draft of your flyer (65KB)...

Comments? Critiques? Ideas for verbage at the bottom of the flyer? (Thanks, JC!)

jason

p.s.--expect at least one more page in the proof-of-concept comic this weekend. I've been busy with work and other things...

great, great job ason. Very powerful imagery. It reminds me of the German posters of pre WWII. Eye catching. It will definitly get people to read it.

Awesome poster guys.

JC's screed is mentioned in the next. Any chance of posting it here?

Also how about somewhere in the contact details have it so that it can be personalised, i.e. if you put the poster up, also have your name and e-mail on it, as well as the web address.

JC! had no particular screed, just a blank area at the end for verbiage not specified. I'll probably just put the lo-fi URL, writ large, and some blanks for the local rep to write their name, e-mail, contact info...

Glad y'all like it!
(I'll have the revised version up tomorrow.)

As you can see above, the flyer should be fixed. Copies of it in .swf and 300dpi .png are available at
http://huah.net/jason/comics/lofi/

Contact info space is in there.
Any other file formats needed, let me know.
All ready to go...as soon as lo-fipress.com goes up!

Very nice!

My only reservation would be the (for me) baffling use of the word 'git', which, over here in the UK, is a term of contempt.

Thanks for the catch, Martin...where I come from, it's just a harmless vernacular version of "get!" as in "get movin' along to the site!"

The fix has been made to the gif above and to the png and swf. Any further problems, PLEASE let me know!

Thanks again,

jason

That's what I had assumed, Jason!

From the Encarta dictionary:

"git [git] (plural gits) noun
an offensive term for somebody regarded as annoying, troublesome, unpleasant, or thoughtless (informal insult)

[Mid-20th century. Variant of GET.]"

Anyone who's into the Beatles will recognize the northern English insult 'get' (a term implying illegitimacy) from Lennon's 'I'm So Tired': "And curse Sir Walter Raleigh/He was such a stupid get".

Bit of etymology there for anyone who's interested!
