Sorry people, that was my fault, my website is doing a server changeover (or something like that) and I botched the address for my picture. This one should work, in the meantime:

Thanks for covering my ass, The Bob!

I had to keep the original cape, because it was just too damn pretty.

I think this one turned out well.

Hieronymous Bosch?

Sadly, my first exposure to that work of art was its image on a pog. I kid you not.

I saw more of his stuff when I was looking for "hell," and some of it did creep me out, why is it that religious artwork is always the scariest?

What's great about it is how Topato appears to be smiling and waving while a car crashes into a rock. Unlike Superman, he doesn't even care.

You are correct, sir.

It's like "Massive carnage and automobile destruction! HOW ENTERTAINING!"

or

"Damnation! Now I will be tardy for my luncheon with Hitler!"

Vell,

As a past art history student, I must say I'm INCREDIBLY impressed.

But the realism one as FANTASTIC as it is, is not acually realism. It is more neo-classicism. Realism kinda showed things in believe it or not more of a cartoon form, as long as it portrayed the true essence of the "event".
The "realism" topato is more idealised actually.

VERY VERY nice idea though!!!!!!

There was a dark age in Egypt, where the nefarious Space Mummy seized the throne. Here we see Tutpato firing ankhs of justice at the Space Mummy while Sherriff Anubis distracts him by holding hands with his woman.

Well, first you have to have some type of program to draw it. I use Corel Draw.

Then find one of those free picture hosting sites and upload it.

THEN, copy the link, and post the image on the message board.

It's a lot quicker than it sounds once you get everything set up. The hardest part is doing the photo editing.

Oh yeah, Jordie:

I know.

And now I'm having trouble topping the "Topato Jima" thing. I'll think of something...

I am a pathetic individual. I'm too lazy to learn anything complex like PSP of PS, so I use MS Paint for my editing. I do most of the actual art in Flash (dang, I wish there were a vector-doing and drawing thingy that was like Flash but didn't have all the animation stuff and would hence not take up so much damn memory), paste into PB to crop it together, then paste to a program that can save gifs.
And Bob, that rules.

Aw, come on. If you're gonna do one do it right. All you would have had to do on that Geiger pic is blur those edits a little and smooth some edges.

An extra 2 minutes can make something go from looking hackneyed to looking cool.

I used to always use MS paint. Now I can't stand it! I got PSP but I haven't figured out how to draw well in it. I got Flash just recently too but don't make animations with it, just pictures like you!

Fine, fine, i'll work on it some more. And it may only take YOU 2 extra minutes, but usually something as simple as that, for me takes about an hour, because in the process i usually ruin the whole thing 6 or 8 times.

Beets - AWESOME.

Splinters - I wasn't trying to run you down or anything. I'm just saying, get the blur tool after it. Plus, it also helps if you get the dropper thingy and use colors that are already in the picture so it blends together.

I am not any kind of pro with this at ALL. I just started fiddling with the Corel Draw thing like YESTERDAY, literally.

I got the chips a few years ago at a local bagel place appropriately named "The Bagel Place." I kept the bag because it's just that cool. Excerpt from the back of the bag:
"Since she lost the love of her life in a bizarre and tragic potato peeler accident, Mama Zuma has been hell bent on burning every mouth she kisses with her special brand of passion."
There's nothing I like more than snack food with a good back story.

And more on topic, everyone's art is beautiful and makes me cry like a small child lost in a grocery store. A grocery store filled with poisonous potatoes.

Bob, you're forgetting the fact that you're a fraking genious, or something of the sort.

If not that, you at least have talent. I don't know anybody who could achieve what you did after tinkering with a program for a day without any previous experience.
